وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ :
أَتَى النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَجْلِسًا مِنْ مَجَالِسِ الْأَنْصَارِ فِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْهُمْ ، فَسَلَّمَ فَرَدُّوا السَّلَامَ ، فَكَرِهَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْمَجْلِسَ ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَجْلِسٌ كَانَ يَجْلِسُهُ آبَاؤُنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، فَأَحْبَبْنَا ، أَنْ نُعَمِّرَهُ وَنَجْلِسَ فِيهِ . قَالَ : " فَإِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَفْعَلُوا ، فَرُدُّوا السَّلَامَ ، وَغُضُّوا الْأَبْصَارَ ، وَأَرْشِدُوا السَّبِيلَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ مُوسَى الطَّلْحِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
أَتَى النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَجْلِسًا مِنْ مَجَالِسِ الْأَنْصَارِ فِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْهُمْ ، فَسَلَّمَ فَرَدُّوا السَّلَامَ ، فَكَرِهَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْمَجْلِسَ ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَجْلِسٌ كَانَ يَجْلِسُهُ آبَاؤُنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، فَأَحْبَبْنَا ، أَنْ نُعَمِّرَهُ وَنَجْلِسَ فِيهِ . قَالَ : " فَإِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَفْعَلُوا ، فَرُدُّوا السَّلَامَ ، وَغُضُّوا الْأَبْصَارَ ، وَأَرْشِدُوا السَّبِيلَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ مُوسَى الطَّلْحِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to one of the gatherings of the Ansar, in which there were some people from among the Ansar. He gave the greeting of peace and they returned the greeting. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not like that gathering. The people said: "O Messenger of Allah, this is a way of sitting in which our forefathers used to sit in the Days of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah), so we liked to keep this gathering alive and to sit in it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you insist on doing so, then return the greeting, lower your gazes and guide people on the way."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Salih bin Musa al-Talhi, who is matruk (abandoned).
