بَابٌ فِيمَنْ حَدَّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ فَعُطِسَ عِنْدَهُ
One who is narrating a report when someone sneezes beside him

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" مَنْ حَدَّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ فَعُطِسَ عِنْدَهُ ، فَهُوَ حَقٌّ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَقَالَ : لَا يُرْوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ . وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الصَّدَفِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person is saying something and a sneeze occurs during it, he is in the right (or: that statement is true)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and he said: It is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only with this chain. Abu Ya'la also recorded it. Its chain contains Mu'awiyah bin Yahya al-Sadafi, who is da'if (weak).
