Sayyiduna Sabrah bin Abi Sabrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: His father came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: How many children do you have? He said: Abd al-Uzza, Sabrah and al-Harith. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not give the name Abd al-Uzza; rather, give the name Abdullah, for the best names are Abdullah, Ubaydullah, al-Harith and Hammam. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for his children, and they have remained honoured to this day.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains al-Hajjaj bin Artah, in whom there is weakness. The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
