وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ : وُلِدَ لِجَدِّي غُلَامٌ ، فَسَمَّاهُ عَزِيزًا ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : وُلِدَ لِي غُلَامٌ . فَقَالَ : " مَا سَمَّيْتَهُ ؟ " . قَالَ : قُلْتُ : عَزِيزًا . قَالَ : " لَا بَلْ هُوَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ " .
In a narration transmitted from Khaythamah, the words are: He says: A son was born to my grandfather, and he named him Aziz. He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: A son has been born to me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What have you named him? He said: Aziz. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! Rather, he is Abd al-Rahman.
