وَعَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَيْنِ إِذَا الْتَقَيَا فَتَصَافَحَا وَتَسَايَلَا ، أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَا مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ ، تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ لِأَبَشِّهِمَا وَأَطْلَقِهِمَا وَأَبَرِّهِمَا وَأَحْسَنِهِمَا صَابَلَةً بِأَخِيهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

It is reported from him (Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him); he narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When two Muslims meet one another, shake hands with one another and ask about each other's well-being, Allah Almighty sends down one hundred mercies between them, of which ninety-nine are for the one who meets his brother with the more cheerful face, the more pleasant manner, the greater kindness and the better way."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Hasan bin Kathir bin Adi, whom I do not know. The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
