وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " سَيَكُونُ بَعْدِي خَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ فِي جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ " . قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُخْسَفُ بِالْأَرْضِ وَفِيهَا الصَّالِحُونَ ؟ قَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا أَكْثَرَ أَهْلُهَا الْخَبَثَ " .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ بَعْضُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حَكِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ بَعْضُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حَكِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Soon after me there will be a sinking into the earth in the east, and a sinking into the earth in the west, in the Arabian Peninsula." I said: O Messenger of Allah! Will people be sunk into the earth while there are righteous people among them? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "When the wicked become many among its inhabitants (then that is how it will be)." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: part of it is mentioned in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Hakim bin Nafi', whom Yahya bin Ma'in declared thiqah (trustworthy), while others declared him da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
