Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) was tending the wounded in the army of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: O Messenger of Allah! If you would pray for my son (it would be a kindness). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For little Anas?" She said: Yes. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated me in front of him, passed his hand over my head and said: "O little Anas! After me the Muslims will found various cities, and among the cities they found will be one called Basrah. If you go there, keep away from its places of amusement, its market and the door of its ruler, for there will be the punishment of sinking into the earth, transformation and being pelted with stones there. Its sign is that the just person will die, then oppression will spread there, fornication will spread there abundantly, and false testimony will spread there."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. It contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
