عَنْ صُحَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُخْسَفَ بِقَبَائِلَ ، فَيُقَالُ : مَنْ بَقِيَ مِنْ بَنِي فُلَانٍ ؟ " . قَالَ : فَعَرَفْتُ حِينَ قَالَ : " قَبَائِلَ " أَنَّهَا الْعَرَبُ ; لِأَنَّ الْعَجَمَ تُنْسَبُ إِلَى قُرَاهَا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Suhar al-Abdi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until various tribes are swallowed up by the earth, until it is said: 'Who is left of Banu so-and-so?'" The narrator says: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used the word 'tribes', I understood that the Arabs were meant, because non-Arabs are identified by their towns.
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Tabarani, Abu Ya'la and al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
