Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon Sayyiduna al-Masih Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) will descend as a just ruler and an equitable imam. He will kill the swine and break the cross, and at that time there will be only one call (religion)." Convey the greeting of peace to him from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (the narrator is unsure about one word here). I will speak with him, and he will confirm what I say. The narrator says: When the time of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah's (may Allah be pleased with him) death drew near, he said: "Convey my greeting of peace to him." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of it is mentioned in the Sahih.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains Kathir bin Zayd, whom Ahmad and a group declared thiqah (trustworthy), while al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared him da'if (weak). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
