وَعَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَقَدْ أَكَلَ الطَّعَامَ ، وَمَشَى فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ . يَعْنِي الدَّجَّالَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، غَيْرَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، وَهُوَ لَيِّنٌ ، وَثَّقَهُ الْعِجْلِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He has eaten food and walked in the markets." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the Dajjal.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Ali bin Zayd bin Jud'an, who is layyin (soft); al-Ijli and others declared him thiqah (trustworthy), while a group declared him da'if (weak).
