وَعَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ : ذُكِرَ الدَّجَّالُ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : لَوْ خَرَجَ لَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِالْحِجَارَةِ . فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : لَوْ أَصْبَحَ بِبَابِلَ أَصْبَحَ بَعْضُهُمْ [ يَشْكُو ] إِلَيْهِ الْحَفَاءَ مِنَ السُّرْعَةِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ خَيْثَمَةَ لَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ قَالَ إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ مِنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
Khaythamah narrates: The Dajjal was mentioned in the presence of Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), and someone said: "If he emerges, we will pelt him with stones." Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If he were in Babylon, some of them would come complaining to him of being barefoot because of their haste."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that regarding the narrator Khaythamah I have not found anyone stating that he heard from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him); and Allah knows best.
