وَعَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَنْزِلُ الدَّجَّالُ الْمَدِينَةَ وَلَكِنَّهُ بَيْنَ الْخَنْدَقِ ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ نَقْبٍ مِنْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ يَحْرُسُونَهَا ، فَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يَتَّبِعُهُ النِّسَاءُ فَيُؤْذُونَهُ ، فَيَرْجِعُ غَضْبَانَ حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ الْخَنْدَقَ ، فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ يَنْزِلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُكْرَمِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ الضَّبِّيِّ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
It is also narrated from him (Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Dajjal will not be able to enter Madinah; rather he will halt within the trench, and on every pass leading to Madinah there will be angels guarding the city. The first to follow him will be women, and they (the people) will harm him, until he returns in anger and camps by the trench. At that time Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) will descend."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Uqbah bin Mukram bin Uqbah al-Dabbi, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
