وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَفْتَحُونَ مَدِينَةَ هِرَقْلَ أَوْ قَيْصَرَ وَتَقْتَسِمُونَ أَمْوَالَهَا بِالتِّرْسَةِ ، وَيُسْمِعُهُمُ الصَّرِيخُ أَنَّ الدَّجَّالَ قَدْ خَلَفَهُمْ فِي أَهَالِيهِمْ ، فَيُلْقُونَ مَا مَعَهُمْ وَيَخْرُجُونَ فَيُقَاتِلُونَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will soon conquer the city of Heraclius (the narrator is unsure whether the words are:) Caesar, and you will divide its wealth by placing it in shields. Meanwhile someone will cry out: 'The Dajjal has come behind you among your families.' So they will put aside everything they have with them, set out, and fight."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
