It is narrated from him that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I came out to you, having been informed about Laylat al-Qadr and about the Dajjal of misguidance. Then two men were quarrelling at the door of the mosque, and I came to them to end their quarrel, and both things were made to slip from my memory. However, I will mention a little of them to you. As for Laylat al-Qadr, seek it in the last ten nights. As for the Dajjal, he will be one-eyed; his forehead will be clear (i.e. there will be no hair at the front), his forehead will be broad, and he will have a forward stoop. He will resemble Qatan bin Abd al-Uzza." That man said: "O Messenger of Allah! Will resembling him harm me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, you are a Muslim man and he will be a disbelieving man."
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains al-Mas'udi, who suffered from confusion (ikhtilat). (Al-Haythami says:) I say: the narration of Sayyiduna al-Faltan bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) will come further on.
