Junadah bin Abi Umayyah al-Azdi narrates: A man from the Ansar and I went to one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We said: "Narrate to us a hadith which you heard from the mouth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the Dajjal." He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us and said: "I am warning you about the Dajjal." He said this three times. (Then he said:) "Every prophet warned about him, and O nation! He will appear among you. He will be a wheat-complexioned man with curly hair, and his left eye will be missing. With him will be a paradise and a hell. With him will be mountains of bread and a river of water. He will bring down rain, but it will not produce any growth. He will be given power over one man; he will kill him, and he will not be given power over anyone other than that man. He will remain on the earth for forty days and will reach every place, but he will not be able to come near four mosques: al-Masjid al-Haram, the Prophet's Mosque, the mosque of Tur and al-Masjid al-Aqsa. And you should have no doubt about him, for your Lord is not one-eyed."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
