Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12523

Sayyiduna Junadah bin Abi Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We came to a Companion from the Ansar; we went in to him and said: "Narrate to us the hadith you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and do not narrate anything you heard from people." We pressed him greatly about this, so he said: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us and said: "I am warning you about the Dajjal. His left eye will be missing. With him will be mountains of bread and rivers of water. His sign is that he will remain on the earth for forty days, and his dominion will reach every spring; however, he will not be able to come to four mosques: the Ka'bah, the Prophet's Mosque, al-Masjid al-Aqsa and the mosque of Tur. Whatever happens, know that Allah Almighty is not one-eyed." Ibn Awn says: I think the narration has these words: "He will be given power over one man; he will kill him, then bring him back to life, and he will not be given power over anyone other than that man."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
