بَابُ حُرْمَةِ دِمَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَإِثْمِ مَنْ قَتَلَ مُسْلِمًا .

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّكُمُ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى دِينٍ ، وَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمُ الْأُمَمَ ، فَلَا تَمْشُوا بَعْدِي الْقَهْقَرَى " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُجَالِدٌ وَفِيهِ خِلَافٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Today you are established upon the religion, and I will take pride in your great numbers before the other nations; so do not turn back on your heels after me."
Ahmad, Abu Ya'la, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it; its chain contains Mujalid, about whom there is disagreement, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
