Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12289

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with them both) relate that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while delivering a sermon, asked: "What day is this?" The people said: "It is a sacred day." He said: "Your lives and your wealth are as sacred to one another as the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this city of yours." (Al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) was also recorded by Ibn Majah.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
