وَعَنْ ثَرْوَانَ بْنِ مِلْحَانَ قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَمَرَّ عَلَيْنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ ، فَقُلْنَا : حَدِّثْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " يَكُونُ بَعْدِي قَوْمٌ يَأْخُذُونَ الْمُلْكَ ، يَقْتُلُ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا " . قَالَ : قُلْنَا لَهُ : لَوْ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْرُكَ مَا صَدَّقْنَاهُ . قَالَ : فَإِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ ثَرْوَانَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Tharwan bin Milhan relates: We were sitting in the mosque when Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by us. We said: "Narrate to us what you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "After me there will be people who will seize kingship, and they will kill one another over it." The narrator said: We said to him: "If anyone other than you had narrated this to us, we would not have believed him." Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "It will happen."
