Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What will become of you when you remain among the dregs of people, who will fall into discord until they become like this? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this while interlacing his fingers. Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take what you recognise as good and abandon what you regard as munkar (or evil)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know, and a narrator Ziyad bin Abdullah, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and a group declared da'if (weak).
