وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَتَفْرَحُ بِذَهَابِ الشِّتَاءِ رَحْمَةً لِمَا يَدْخُلُ عَلَى فُقَرَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنَ الشِّدَّةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels rejoice at the departure of winter, (feeling this way) out of mercy on account of the hardship that poor Muslims have to face because of it."
