Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What will be your state when you are left among the dregs of people who will differ until they become like this?" — the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this while interlacing his fingers. Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take what you recognise as good and leave what you recognise as evil."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know, and Ziyad bin Abdullah al-Bakka'i, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) while a group declared him da'if (weak).
