عَنْ عَلِيٍّ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " يَا عَلِيُّ ، أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَإِنْ شَقَّ عَلَيْكَ ، وَلَا تَأْكُلِ الصَّدَقَةَ ، وَلَا تُنْزِي الْحُمُرَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ ، وَلَا تُجَالِسْ أَصْحَابَ النُّجُومِ " .
رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فِي زِيَادَاتِهِ فِي الْمُسْنَدِ عَلَى أَبِيهِ ، وَرَوَى أَبُو دَاوُدَ مِنْهُ إِنْزَاءَ الْحُمُرِ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ ، وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فِي زِيَادَاتِهِ فِي الْمُسْنَدِ عَلَى أَبِيهِ ، وَرَوَى أَبُو دَاوُدَ مِنْهُ إِنْزَاءَ الْحُمُرِ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ ، وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ali, perform ablution thoroughly even if it is hard on you; do not eat charity (sadaqah); do not have donkeys mate with mares; and do not sit with astrologers."
Abdullah recorded it in his "Ziyadat", the additions he made to his father's "Musnad". Imam Abu Dawud recorded from this narration the part about having donkeys mate with mares. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim bin Abd al-Rahman, and there is weakness in him.
