وَعَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ : " إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ عَائِشَةَ أَمْرٌ " . قَالَ : أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ : أَنَا أَشْقَاهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " لَا ، وَلَكِنْ إِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَارْدُدْهَا إِلَى مَأْمَنِهَا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him): "Soon there will be a disagreement between you and Aishah. He submitted: O Messenger of Allah! Me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes! He submitted: O Messenger of Allah! In that case, will I be the most wretched of them? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! But when that situation arises, return Aishah to her place of safety."
