Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umar! Announce among the people that whoever dies in a state in which he worships Allah Almighty with sincerity of heart, Allah Almighty will admit him into Paradise and make him forbidden to Hell." The narrator said: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah! Shall I not give the people the glad tidings?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No! No! They will rely on this alone."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it.
