عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِيَّاكَ وَمُشَارَّةَ النَّاسِ ، فَإِنَّهَا تَدْفِنُ الْعِزَّةَ ، وَتُظْهِرُ الْعَوْرَةَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ شَيْخَ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ بْنَ هُدَيْمٍ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ شَيْخَ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ بْنَ هُدَيْمٍ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of quarrelling and contending with people, for it buries honour and exposes what is hidden."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except al-Tabarani's teacher Muhammad bin al-Hasan bin Hudaym, whom I do not know.
