وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْمِيزَانُ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ يَرْفَعُ أَقْوَامًا وَيَضَعُ أَقْوَامًا ، وَقَلْبُ ابْنِ آدَمَ بَيْنَ إِصْبُعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ أَزَاغَهُ ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ أَقَامَهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Samurah bin Fatik al-Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Scale (that is, the balance) is in the Hand of Allah Almighty; He raises some people and lowers others. And the heart of the son of Adam is between two of the fingers of the Most Merciful: if He wills, He makes it deviate, and if He wills, He keeps it upright."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
