عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُزِيغَ قَلْبَ عَبْدٍ أَعْمَى عَلَيْهِ الْحِيَلَ " ، رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الطَّرَسُوسِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to make the heart of a servant deviate, Allah Almighty blinds him to the ways and means."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Muhammad bin Isa al-Tarsusi, who is da'if (weak).
