قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ بِالْمَاءِ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ وَرَجْلَيْهِ . وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
From this same Companion, in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir,
this report is also recorded; he says: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); while performing ablution, he wiped his beard and his feet with water. The narrators of this report have been declared trustworthy.
