وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَمْ يَكُنْ شْرَكٌ مُنْذُ أَهْبَطَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا كَانَ بَدْؤُهُ التَّكْذِيبَ بِالْقَدَرِ ، وَمَا أَشْرَكَتْ أُمَّةٌ إِلَّا بِتَكْذِيبٍ بِالْقَدَرِ ، وَإِنَّكُمْ سَتُبْتَلَوْنَ بِهِ أَيَّتُهَا الْأُمَّةُ ، فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَكُونُوا أَنْتُمْ سَائِلِينَ ، وَلَا تُمَكِّنُوهُمْ مِنَ الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَيُدْخِلُوا عَلَيْكُمُ الشُّبُهَاتِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سَلْمُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ، ضَعَّفَهُ جُمْهُورُ الْأَئِمَّةِ أَحْمَدُ ، وَابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ : أَرْجُو أَنَّهُ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سَلْمُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ، ضَعَّفَهُ جُمْهُورُ الْأَئِمَّةِ أَحْمَدُ ، وَابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ : أَرْجُو أَنَّهُ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Since Allah Almighty sent Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) down from the heaven to the earth, polytheism (shirk) has only occurred after destiny (qadar) was first denied, and no nation ever fell into polytheism except through denying destiny. O Ummah! You too will be tested with it. When you meet such people, be the ones who ask questions, and do not give them the chance to raise questions, otherwise they will introduce doubts among you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Salm bin Salim, whom the majority of the imams declared da'if (weak), such as Ahmad, Ibn al-Mubarak and the imams after them; Ibn Adi says: "I hope there is no harm in him."
