وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا ذُكِرَ أَصْحَابِي فَأَمْسِكُوا ، وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ النُّجُومُ فَأَمْسِكُوا ، وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الْقَدَرُ فَأَمْسِكُوا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُسْهِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَغَيْرُهُ وَفِيهِ خِلَافٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُسْهِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَغَيْرُهُ وَفِيهِ خِلَافٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When my Companions are mentioned, hold back; when the stars are mentioned, hold back; when destiny (qadar) is mentioned, hold back."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Mus-hir bin Abd al-Malik, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), though there is disagreement about him; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
