وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ ، وَمَنْ رَأَى أَنَّهُ يَشْرَبُ لَبَنًا فَهِيَ الْفِطْرَةُ ، وَمَنْ رَأَى أَنَّ عَلَيْهِ دِرْعًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَهِيَ حَصَانَةُ دِينِهِ ، وَمَنْ رَأَى أَنَّهُ يَبْنِي بَيْتًا فَهُوَ عَمَلٌ يَعْمَلُهُ ، وَمَنْ رَأَى أَنَّهُ غَرِقَ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has seen me in a dream has indeed seen me in a state of wakefulness (that is, in reality he has seen me myself). Whoever sees in a dream that he is drinking milk, it will mean the fitrah (natural disposition). Whoever sees in a dream that there is a coat of iron armour on his body, it means the protection of his religion. Whoever sees in a dream that he is building a house, it means a deed that he will do. And whoever sees that he is drowning, he will go to Hell."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains al-Hakam bin Zuhayr, who is matruk (abandoned).
