Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11714

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "After me nothing remains of prophethood except the mubashshirat (glad tidings)." The people asked: O Messenger of Allah, what are the mubashshirat? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good dreams which a servant sees himself, or which are seen for him (by someone else)." The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it, though al-Bazzar's wording is: "Which a righteous man sees."
