وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ حِلْيَةٌ وَحِلْيَةُ الْقُرْآنِ حُسْنُ الصَّوْتِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَجَلِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything has an ornament, and the ornament of the Qur'an is a beautiful voice."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Isma'il bin Amr al-Bajali, who is da'if (weak).
