عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : مَنْ أَحْسَنُ النَّاسِ صَوْتًا بِالْقُرْآنِ ؟ قَالَ : " مَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتَ قِرَاءَتَهُ رَأَيْتَ أَنَّهُ يَخْشَى اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ خُوَارٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَقَالَ : رُبَّمَا أَخْطَأَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِ الْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Who recites the Qur'an with the most beautiful voice? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The person who, when you hear his recitation, you feel that he fears Allah.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and Imam al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Humayd bin Hammad bin Khuwar, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), saying: He sometimes makes mistakes. The remaining narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih.
