Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11651

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the reciter of the Qur'an (or its scholar) treats as lawful what it makes lawful and treats as unlawful what it makes unlawful, he will be granted that he may intercede for ten people of his household for whom Hell had become due."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ja'far bin al-Harith, who is da'if (weak).
