Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11607

Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "Yes! Rather, My verses came to you, and you denied them and you were arrogant."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Asim al-Jahdari, who is a scholar of the Qur'an (a reciter). Al-Dhahabi says: His readings are shadhdh (irregular), and in his reading there are munkar (objectionable) things. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy), though some of them have weakness, and Asim did not hear from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him).
