وَعَنْ حَصِيلَةَ بِنْتِ وَاثِلَةَ قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ : قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى قَالَ : إِلْقَاءُ الْقَمْحِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْمُصَلَّى يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَشْقَرَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Hasilah bint Wathilah narrates: I heard my father say (he recited this verse): "Indeed, he has succeeded who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Lord and prays." Sayyiduna Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "This means giving wheat at the place of Eid prayer on the day of Eid al-Fitr before performing the prayer (that is, paying Sadaqat al-Fitr)."
