Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11460

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "And We sent down from the mu'sirat pouring water." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: "Here 'mu'sirat' means the winds, and 'thajjaj' means pouring down heavily."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin al-Sa'ib al-Kalbi, who is da'if (weak).
