عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا لَمْ يَكُنْ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا حَتَّى كَانَتْ وَقْعَةُ بَدْرٍ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، وَفِيهِمَا ضَعْفٌ وَقَدْ وُثِّقَا .
Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: When this verse was revealed: "Leave Me with the deniers, the people of ease, and give them respite for a little while." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: Then, after only a short time had passed, the Battle of Badr took place.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ja'far bin Mihran, and a narrator, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil; there is weakness in both of them, though both have been declared trustworthy.
