وَعَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ : فِي جُزْءِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ - فَامْضُوا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ - وَهُوَ كَقَوْلِهِ إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّى . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَقَتَادَةُ لَمْ يُدْرِكِ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَلَكِنَّ رِجَالَهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Qatadah relates: In the juz' (copy) of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) the words are: "Go to the remembrance of Allah." This is like this statement of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, your striving is of various kinds."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; Qatadah did not live in the time of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), but the narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
