قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ .

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ وَبَيْنَ أَنْ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ يُعَاتِبُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِهَا إِلَّا أَرْبَعُ سِنِينَ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that between their accepting Islam and the revelation of this verse, by which Allah Almighty reproached them, there were only four years (Allah Almighty says): "And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and the time became long for them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are disobedient."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Musa bin Ya'qub al-Zam'i, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy) and Ibn al-Madini declared da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
