Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11395

Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning this statement of Allah Almighty: "A large group from the earlier ones, and a large group from the later ones." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Both of these groups belong to this Ummah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains. The narrators of one of them are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Ali bin Zayd, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but has a poor memory.
