قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ .

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِذَا دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ الْجَنَّةَ سَأَلَ عَنْ أَبَوَيْهِ وَزَوْجَتِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ ، فَيُقَالُ : إِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا دَرَجَتَكَ وَعَمَلَكَ ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ قَدْ عَمِلْتُ لِي وَلَهُمْ ، فَيُؤْمَرُ بِإِلْحَاقِهِمْ " . وَقَرَأَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ الْآيَةَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man enters Paradise, he will ask about his parents, his wife and his children. He will be told: 'They did not reach your rank and your deeds.' He will say: 'O my Lord! I did deeds for myself and for them.' Then it will be commanded that they be joined with him." Then Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) recited this verse (Allah Almighty says): "Those who believed and whose offspring followed them in faith"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains the narrator Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Ghazwan, who is da'if (weak).
