عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ إِذَا نَظَرْتَ إِلَيْهَا تُرِيدُ الْخِيَانَةَ أَمْ لَا ؟ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ إِذَا قَدَرْتَ عَلَيْهَا أَتَزْنِي بِهَا أَمْ لَا ؟ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِالَّتِي تَلِيهَا ؟ وَاللَّهُ يَقْضِي بِالْحَقِّ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يَجْزِيَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ وَبِالسَّيِّئَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ شَبَّوَيْهِ وَهُوَ مَسْتُورٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: (Allah Almighty says:) "He knows the treachery of the eyes." That is, when you look at her, do you intend treachery or not? "And what the breasts conceal." That is, when you have power over her, will you commit fornication with her or not? And shall I not tell you about the one that follows it? "And Allah Almighty judges with truth." That is, He has the power to recompense good with good and evil with evil. "Indeed, Allah Almighty is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Shabbawayh, who is mastur (of unknown status), and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
