Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11296

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The "ju'al" (a kind of beetle or insect) perishes in its burrow because of the sins of human beings. Then he recited this verse: "If Allah Almighty were to take people to account for what they have earned, He would not leave a single creature on the face of the earth."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Sa'id bin Abi Maryam, who is da'if (weak).
