Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11239

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recite this last verse of Surah al-Nur; at that time he had placed his fingers beneath his eyes, and he was reciting: "He is All-Seeing of everything." (Allamah al-Haythami said:) I say: It occurs like this in the narration; if this is an anomalous (shadhdh) reading, (then so be it), otherwise the actual recitation is: "He is All-Knowing of everything."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, who has a poor memory and in whom there is weakness, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
