قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ .
The words of Allah the Exalted: "And whoever intends therein deviation through wrongdoing, We will make him taste a painful punishment"

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ - قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : رَفَعَهُ ، وَلَا أَرْفَعُهُ لَكَ - يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - : وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا هَمَّ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ وَهُوَ بِعَدَنَ لَأَذَاقَهُ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said (here the narrator Shu'bah stated that he had narrated it as a marfu' hadith, "but I am not narrating it to you as marfu'"): Allah Almighty has said: "And whoever intends therein deviation (ilhad) through wrongdoing." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If a man intends deviation here while he is in Aden, Allah Almighty will make him taste a painful punishment.
