Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11170

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this statement of Allah Almighty: (Allah Almighty says:) "Then for him is a life of hardship." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The life of hardship that Allah Almighty mentioned means that ninety-nine snakes will be set upon him, which will keep tearing at his flesh until the Hour is established."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
