Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Hold fast to the siwak, for it keeps the mouth clean and is a cause of the Lord's pleasure."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded this report; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, and he is da'if (weak).
